STEP ELEVEN, PART THREE

Hi everyone.
My name is Shlomo.
I am a food addict and compulsive overeater.

Let us continue with integrating step eleven in our morning routine and during the day.

ASSIGNMENTS.

1. Step eleven in the morning.
Read the Big Book pages 86-87: "On awakening let us think...Make use of what we offer."
Mark the sentences that resonate with you. Pay special attention to the following: beginning the morning with a special prayer, the benefits of this prayer, thinking and planning our day, continuing with prayer relaxation and meditation, benefits, progress with practice, different kinds of prayers, awareness of selfish prayers, praying with family, using prayers from different sources. Reflect and share with us.

2. Step Eleven in the morning ACTION.

A) Pray to direct your thinking in the right direction.

B) Pray and meditate for a few minutes or more.

C) I suggest you write down your plans for the day. This can also include your food plan if you haven't written it in the evening, and the things you decided to do today when you did the previous day's evening review.

D) Suggestion: Write a gratitude list. Gratitude is a prayer. This can also be done in the evening.

E) Suggestion: Share with your sponsor when possible. Share with us.

3. Step eleven during the day.
Read the Big Book pages 87-88: "As we go through the day...devoted to Step Twelve."
Mark the sentences that resonate with you. Pay special attention to the following: praying when upset or doubtful during the day, benefits as preventing measure and other benefits, the big promise, more action to come in step twelve. Reflect and share with us.

ACTION Suggestion: use this procedure as a preventive measure during the day and when it is not enough, use step ten. Suggestion from personal experience: Get into the habit of turning your thought for a moment to this procedure a few times a day (for example every two hours). It will help to keep you out of trouble. Share with us. Suggestion: Read pages 84-88 in the Big Book on a daily basis.

You are invited to ask me questions.

Shlomo
