THE RECOVERY LOOP
The Cornerstone Support Group of the TRG Community
OUR MISSION
To provide a safe and positive place, where
people working the 12 Steps of OA, from all
levels of recovery, can gather and get recharged
and inspired so they can face the various
challenges in their lives.
WHO WE ARE
The Recovery Support Loop is a Fellowship of members
of The Recovery Group. Our focus is on recovery,
and
how we use the 12 Steps and Traditions of OA, as
well as fellowship, to find recovery.
Our mix of recovery, provides a rich tapestry of
fellowship. "Oldtimers" share their ESH
(experience, strength, and hope) while providing
a living example of how sanity can prevail.
Those new to the program,
or continuing to work the steps, share their
"aha" moments with us, and remind us of just how
far we
have come ... and how important recovery is.
The people of the Recovery Loop are "real" people,
with "real" problems who are finding "real"
solutions.
WHAT WE DO
As in face to face meetings, we provide a daily
topic
on which members are invited to share ... helping
us
to focus on the various aspects of our disease,
so
that we may continue to grow in our recovery.
You
are invited to share on that, or any topic
concern-
ing your recovery.
Difficulties are discussed, but in the context of
discussing our disease, insight, how you apply
program tools, traditions, etc., in overcoming
these challenges ... rather than just venting.
You are welcome to introduce a topic in
which you have been struggling; however, our
members
are discouraged from offering advice or engaging
in crosstalk.
There are no dues or fees for members; we are
self-supporting by dedicated volunteers. The Recovery Loop is not affiliated
with any public or private organization,
political movement, ideology or religious
doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive
overeating and to carry the message of recovery
to those who still suffer.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to
join us, as we share our wisdom, our fellowship,
and our recovery.
