Post Travel Attitude Adjustment

Dear God,

Good morning and thanks for me waking up and for my f2f meeting last night. When I first walked into that room, after not attending the meeting for eight years or so, it was something of a "poor me" type of group, or maybe it was just a couple of bad weeks. Lately though the thirty or so people have been sharing their recovery instead of "my cat doesn't love me stuff." Someday I'm going to read all the posts on several loops and see nothing but the solutions to problems and how Your people have used this gift to see and do those solutions, what a great day.

Everything that could is going wrong with this new kitchen crap, and I'm sitting here smiling and hoping that the woman You sent to run my life eventually sees the futility of trying to get folks to do as she wishes, just ain't gonna happen, nope. Thy will be done, not mine. Of course the cost overrun on this project is at an all time high, and I'm still smiling because smiling does not cost anything and the rewards are tremendous.

At some point this morning I will call the only living part of my wise old man and make arrangements to pick him up for a day's outing. It is a good thing to do, we both need some sunshine. Maybe a ride out to the end of Long Island and a trip on the Oceanos Foundation ship to do some whale watching. The big fish are going to their winter homes early this year. Who would have guessed my life would be so pleasant, certainly not my older family members or teachers. My dad knew though, and he often said I was the child that always landed on his feet with his mouth going. Oh well.

Because there are no immediate problems to solve or things to take care of, this man is going out to play today, and needs the wisdom to know and power to do Your will just for today. Watch over my family, friends, fellow loopies, those who still diet without You and the folks I don't like.

And Why Not?
