Danny's Letters to God
Turning It Over

Dear God,

I have an empty feeling deep inside this morning, one I have not experienced in many months and one I do not like at all. You take care of it, as it is irrational and baseless. It will, I know, go away for two reasons, no three. First, because I give it to You, second because I intend to ignore it, and of course it is just a feeling and not reality. Whew. This is such a nice way to start the day. Here I wake up in what could be built into a case of unknown misery. Instead it is not my problem but Yours. Thanks.

The woman You sent to run my life sits beside me doing what she claims is not snoring and doing it so well. Funny how the things that annoy some folks are like a symphony to others. Dad used to say "you know you have the right gal beside you when her snoring gently puts you into peaceful sleep." His formal education was woeful, however his wisdom was great. Thanks. Come to think of it, there is so much to be thankful for in this life of mine, I become frightened of losing it. Silly and childish to be sure. Another unfounded feeling. Yup, it's all Yours, thanks.

Just got back from getting my second mug of java and don't know whether to laugh or cry as my bride has posted a copy of the original Grey Sheet on the fridge. Now, You know that we do not look at each others' plate, however, You know how this man thinks when it comes to that item. It is odd though that I noticed it cost $.15 thirty years ago. If the cost were $15 instead of cents, more people would have purchased it. We do place more value to over-priced items. At least I did at one time. Enough from me already.

I'm off to Brooklyn today and need You to watch over my family, friends, fellow loopies, those who diet and the folks I don't like at all. The wisdom to know and power to do Your will is requested. Just for today.

And Why Not?
